Deep within the captivating rolling hills, lived a boy named Shepherd. His existence was mostly pure, and unsophisticated. His primary duty was to look after his herd of ewes.
Their soft bleating and the whispering of the breezes among the solo tree on the peak were his only associates. Day in day, looking out for his charges inculcated in him a notion of quiet fulfillment.

The boy chuckled at the puzzle on their faces. This prank continued for a few more days. However, one day, a real wolf actually attack the grazing sheep. The shepherd boy dashed for aid shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one showed up.
Frustrated and alone, the boy fought against the wolf but managed to protect only few of his sheep. Heartbroken, he went back to the town only to be met with a scolding on honesty and the results of crying wolf.
The tale of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the importance of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the risks of crying wolf. Moreover, it stresses how trust read more once lost, is hard to regain. It's a story as pertinent today as it was then.
